For mother's day my DH and kids got me the 3 month subscription after I've test driven a few issues through sewbaby. It is pricier to by just one but a good way to get a feel for the mag and buy an occasional issue.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4198660701949089916.post-48720925080107463442009-05-11T18:02:00.000-04:002009-05-11T18:02:00.000-04:00Go figure, I've read your blog for awhile and my f...Go figure, I've read your blog for awhile and my first comment here is about hair, not sewing! Recently I didn't get hair cut for 4 months -- in the beginning, due to getting tired of paying for highlights, not liking the cut, and trepidation of finding a new stylist. After 10 weeks, the delay was because my hair looked horrible but I didn't want to explain to a new stylist why I wasn't keeping my looks up! Anyway I found a great new stylist and all is OK.
That Vogue dress is cute and you have the most perfect shoes for it!debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07672937937132506545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4198660701949089916.post-75334842194672710142009-05-08T17:41:00.000-04:002009-05-08T17:41:00.000-04:00Thanks for the swayback info! I pay 45.00 for a cut AND foiling (blonde streaks) and even though I just moved an hour and a half away it's worth the trip back home for that kind of deal.laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17174697892947430149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4198660701949089916.post-47749915061221969802009-05-07T03:45:00.000-04:002009-05-07T03:45:00.000-04:00Great post, I'm still laughing at your comment re ...Great post, I'm still laughing at your comment re needing you hair stylist more than God does. Just wanted to add that BWOF mags don't become available until 2 - 3 months later down here in Australia, so if anyone misses a recent copy there a chance it can still be gotten if they ask an Aussie sewist nicely!Kristy Chanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07385704380789244157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4198660701949089916.post-16174510812554700092009-05-06T14:05:00.000-04:002009-05-06T14:05:00.000-04:00Great post. I can't think that it really needs it. The back drape would need to be rethought. I bought another one you reviewed. I never wear dresses but this is a great dress for the summer, and I am thinking cool and easy to wear might be very nice. The drape hides less than perfect middle.Nancy Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02235347323004026695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4198660701949089916.post-26414247937109249182009-05-06T11:40:00.000-04:002009-05-06T11:40:00.000-04:00Hey Trena,

I have to find a new one too as the previous one, of the 'sauve' school (totally love the stylist you used to have, with sideburns) did a poor job layering last time even though I came in on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. I had a good stylist in Flanders where I used to live, but I've forgotten so much Dutch now that language is a barrier! I've lived in Atlanta, GA area for 13 years now and still haven't found the right person to look after my hair. Nobody can figure out how to work with my fine, sort of wavy hair. My best stylist ever was while I lived in Springfield, VA. I found the web site for the salon which is www.thekindestcut.com , but it doesn't look like Dana is there anymore. Good luck finding somebody that can do a good job at a reasonable price for you.
LoisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4198660701949089916.post-50096412737589237002009-05-05T21:16:00.000-04:002009-05-05T21:16:00.000-04:00Thank you for the thoughtful reply to all of our q...Thank you for the thoughtful reply to all of our questions, it was fun to read and I it looks like every day there are more "newcomers" who are new to the online sewing community even though they have been sewing many years (and often as a solitary pursuit). I made it a while back in a cute black and white rayon jersey print that I found (incredibly) at Hancock Fabrics. 5079 is, how do I say, quite ample in the bust and difficult to alter after the fact. So my advice would be to cut a size smaller than normal for the top and make a muslin! Mine ended up not quite a wadder, but a bit dowdy because of the bust issue.Cynthnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4198660701949089916.post-71345215925375088252009-05-05T11:20:00.000-04:002009-05-05T11:20:00.000-04:00This was such a wonderful post with so much great ...This was such a wonderful post with so much great information.
